The Quickbase Exchange is full of resources that you can copy and use including apps, formulas, and Jinjia for pipelines. You can find resources that help with different industries and workflows. This article explains how to search for and get the different types of resources.
Explore resources
Sort resources in the exchange by how popular they are or when they were last updated. If you're looking for something specific, you can browse and search resources different ways including:
- By name
- By tag
- By type
The permissions you have to an app impact the permissions you have to install resources.
Install an app
To install an app from the Exchange:
- Search for an app to install.
- On the details page, select Install.
- Enter app settings, like the app name, and then select Install.
We recommend adding the app a name that is easy to recognize later. - When your app is ready to use, open the app or go back to the Exchange.
Apps you install are listed on your My Apps page.
Many apps in the Exchange have sample data to help you understand how the application is meant to work. To delete sample data, use the Delete sample data in the Page bar on the app Home page. Quickbase doesn't delete any records that you have modified or added since creating your application, so you won't lose any of your work.
Install a formula
To install a formula from the Exchange:
- Search for a formula to install.
- On the details page, select Install.
You can also copy a formula on this page. - Enter formula settings, like what to install the table in and the field label, and then select Install.
This is also where you select the fields that the formula uses. - After your formula is ready to use, open the table where it is installed or go back to the Exchange.
Copy a Jinja snippet
To copy a Jinja snippet from the Exchange:
- Search for a Jinja snippet to copy.
- Select the Copy Snippet button.
This copies the code to your clipboard. From here, paste the snippet into a code block in the Pipeline Designer. Learn more about using Jinja in Quickbase pipelines.
