Copy legacy form rules

This topic refers to functionality that is not available to accounts on the Quickbase Essential plan. If the functionality described here does not match what you're seeing in Quickbase, your account is probably on this plan.

If you've created the perfect form rule, but you want to use it on a field in another part of the form, read on.

To copy a form rule:

1. Edit the form containing the rule you want to delete.

2. Click the Dynamic Form Rules tab.

3. Select the rule you want to delete, by clicking its icon.

4. Click Copy Rule.

5. Make your changes to the copied rule.

   Note that if you simply skip to saving the copied rule and leave the When condition unchanged, you may see a form rule warning that there are multiple form rules acting on the same field.

6. Save your changes.
