If you've created a record, Quickbase recognizes you as the record's owner. There may be times when you'd like to change ownership of a record. For example, say that you manage an application but are not a participant. You create a record but don't want to confuse the users of your application, some of whom may not know who you are. You can easily transfer record ownership to someone else:
Note: To perform this task, you must have administrative rights to the table containing the record.
To change the ownership of a record:
-
Open a report that contains the records whose ownership you want to change.
-
Click next to the record that you want to modify.
-
Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click Change next to the name of the current record owner.
The Select a User page opens in a new window.
-
Select the user that you want to make the new record owner, then click Done.
The new owner name displays above the record's "Created Date."
-
Click Save to implement the change.
