Builders can send custom emails to app users and people who aren't Quickbase users. This article explains the options and set up.
Add email recipients
Send custom emails to:

Individual users

Roles
-
Groups
-
Users in specific fields
- Users @mentioned in rich text fields
- This option is available if you a have enabled mentions in rich text field properties
Add up to 20 recipients to the To field in the email composer.
Include typed-in email addresses
Access to this feature can change based on your Quickbase plan. Learn more about feature availability and plans in Quickbase capabilities.
In addition to the recipient options mentioned above, you may want to type in email addresses.
These email addresses most likely belong to people who are not Quickbase users.
Before you can add typed-in email addresses, realm admins must ask technical support to turn on the open email property for your realm.
To add typed-in email addresses:

Select the Ignore recipient permissions Permissions setting.

Type in the email address.

Select Add "email address" in the drop-down window, or press Enter on the keyboard.
BCC/CC recipients
Access to this feature can change based on your Quickbase plan. Learn more about feature availability and plans in Quickbase capabilities.
Account admins turn on the ability to BCC/CC custom emails.
To allow BCC/CC, go to the Policies page in the Admin Console. In the Security Policies section, turn on Allow CC/BCC of custom emails.
You can only BCC/CC typed-in email addresses or individual users.
Quickbase does not check permissions for BCC/CC recipients. Instead, it applies the permissions of the recipients in the To field to BCC/CC recipients. Learn more about permission checks for custom emails.
