Quickbase offers several different types of automatic emails.
Use the Build your own option to create custom emails that:
- Combine capabilities from Notifications and Subscriptions
- Offer pre-built elements to simplify customization
- Allow you to fine-tune when emails are sent
- Automatically handle the difference between one record being changed and many records being changed, without writing two different emails
To create a custom email

Navigate to the table that contains the data you want to notify users about.

Select Settings to enter table settings. Or, hover over the table name and select the Notifications, subscriptions, & reminders shortcut from the three-dot more menu.

Select Notifications, subscriptions, & reminders. You’ll see any existing emails that are part of that table.

Select New Email in the page bar.

Select Build your own.
After creating your custom email:
- Choose a name for the email. This name appears in your list of emails.
- (Optional) add a description.
Then, set up the email.
- Choose when to send the email
- Add email recipients to custom emails
- Decide on the right data permission checks for custom emails
- Create custom email content
