When you create custom emails that include data from tables with file attachment fields, you can include file attachments in the email.
File attachments can only be included in emails that send when records are added, modified, or deleted. This is because these emails are triggered, and they check for records that match certain conditions. When the email is triggered, Quickbase sends the file attachment associated with records that meet the trigger conditions.
Add file attachments to custom emails
- Create a custom email and select the option to send when records are added, modified, or deleted.
- Directly after the email editor is the file attachment field. Select the dropdown to see all file attachment fields in the app.
If your table does not include file attachment fields, the file attachment field is not there.
- Select the file attachment fields to include in the email.
File attachment limitations
The total size of file attachments included in emails cannot exceed 20MB. If attachments exceed 20MB, Quickbase still sends the email and any attachments that fit under that limit.
